TECH: Globe Tattoo finally releases LTE Plugin and Mobile WiFi

This October 2013, Globe Tattoo will finally roll-out their version of LTE-capable mobile devices along with the launch of its brand-new prepaid LTE service.

The Tattoo LTE comes in two forms: a mobile WiFi device and stick. Both devices, designed by Kenneth Cobonpue, come with free 5 GB worth of data valid for 7 days allowing users to stream videos, upload photos, play games and apps, and browse through social networking sites in lightning speeds. Afterwards, subscribers can continue the LTE experience with standard browsing charges of P5 for 15 minutes or through surfing deals like the new MAXSURF.

MAXSURF is Tattoo’s volume-based offer that gives subscribers bulk megabytes (MB) of surfing, only using up the kilobytes loaded for each webpage regardless of how long subscribers stay on the page, allowing them to extend their surfing days.

Ofcourse, blazing internet speeds that shout "no more buffering" will come at a price. However, compared to other service providers in the country, Tattoo’s prepaid LTE packages offer the lowest rates (FYI: Smart Prepaid LTE Plug-it at Php 5,995 and LTE Pocket WiFi at Php 6,995).

COVERAGE

Moving forward towards ensuring greater and more stable coverage for customers, the telco’s LTE coverage focuses on large contiguous areas instead of pocket activations and hotspots.

Following the aggressive rollout of LTE coverage nationwide, Tattoo now has LTE sites available in select areas in Makati City, Pasig City, Quezon City, Taguig City, Manila, Muntinlupa, Mandaluyong, San Juan and Las Piñas.

The Globe LTE infrastructure has also expanded to key areas in Metro Cebu and Metro Davao as well as in the provinces of Bohol, Batangas, Negros Occidental, La Union, Rizal, Aklan, Laguna, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Cavite, Cagayan, Pangasinan, Isabela, Ilocos, Quirino, Tarlac and in Boracay, Aklan.
